The By-Laws of The Thurmont Riding Club state that the club's purpose is "to bring together all those persons who desire good fellowship and have a love for horses..."

If you share this love for horses, whether an owner or not, we invite you to become a member.

What We Do

We are a family oriented club, with activities designed each year to meet the interests of our members.  Our past club activities have included day and weekend trail rides, parades, and a wide variety of horse shows.  This show season we have included in our schedule: Hunter/Jumper, Miniature Horse, Walking/Racking, Jack Pot, After Hours Game Night, End of Season, and our ever popular Old Fashioned Fun Shows.  Our Old Fashioned Shows are also pointed shows, making you eligible for year end awards.  We do require that you do 2 hours of volunteer service to be eligible.
